Most Americans fail to meet dietary recommendations for many reasons, including strict dieting, poor appetite, changing nutritional needs, or less-than-healthy food choices. So a lot of people turn to a once-daily multivitamin is an easy way to fill in small nutritional gaps.

But does a once-daily multivitamin really work, and how do I know which multivitamin to take, if at all?

Sameer from Richmond Hill, Ontario ask: So a friend of mine up here uses maple syrup as apposed to honey. I always thought honey was better but recently heard that it loses most of it’s vitamins and minerals once it’s on store shelves. Also apparently the sugar contained in maple syrup is better? Thoughts?

Both honey and maple syrup have their own unique benefits. Read more here..

Terrence from Germantown, Maryland asks: It’s there a threshold for protein consumption in a single meal? Doesn’t he excess simply get removed through urine?

There’s a lot of variable to keep in mind:

  • How empty was your stomach before your meal?
  • Did you just workout?
  • Was it a protein only meal or was it combined with other macronutrients?
  • What type of protein were you eating: solid vs liquid, fast acting vs slow acting?

How can it be a “No Calorie Sweetener” if it’s 95% sugar? It’s actually not zero-calorie. It has 3.36 calories per 1000 mg packet. The FDA allows a product with less than 5 calories per serving to be rounded down and labelled zero calories.

Still today, many golfers—assume that they have a  low risk of injury compared to other sports, and do not properly prepare their bodies for golf’s rigors. Splurging on the newest club or on professional lessons to improve their game is “par for the course,” but golfers rarely take advantage of physical conditioning for golf to enhance their performance and prevent injury.

Golf is more physically demanding than many people are aware of. It requires not only flexibility and strength but also good muscle balance and postural stability.
